PNE Property

PNE Property deals with the servicing of the Newcastle Gateshead property portfolio including the renting of commercial workspaces, serviced offices, and the planning and development of new and existing sites.

Currently, PNE Property boasts a varied and award-winning portfolio which combines sensitive restoration projects with innovative new-build developments.

North East Workspace

North East Workspace (NEWS) provides incubator accommodation for 131 small businesses, employing over 600 people across three sites in Newcastle-upon-Tyne and Gateshead.

These include:

Silicon Alley, an ‘Urban Televillage’ which boasts a fine array of restored, fully occupied buildings on Pink Lane and Westgate Road; one of Newcastle’s key regeneration areas.

Woods Pottery and the Steenberg Building, located in Ouseburn Valley were also successfully renovated and are now fully occupied. Recently, this development won a clean sweep at the 2007 Lord Mayor’s Design awards, including the:

  • Best Refurbishment Award for Woods Pottery
  • Best Small Scale Regeneration Award for the Steenberg Building
  • The Lord Mayor’s Special Regeneration Award

Design Works in Felling has also been successful, setting a precedent for further development in this area, with a major residential investment programme currently underway.

All in all, the success of these developments highlights the innovative contribution NEWS has made to workspace in the North East, and how PNE continues to set the standard for exemplary developments.
