PNE People In The Community

PNE Group acknowledges and appreciates the important work which their employees do in the community.  Whilst we seek to support and facilitate wherever possible, we recognise that these initiatives are entirely staff driven and voluntary in nature.

Voluntary Work

A number of staff engage in unpaid voluntary work when they are not working for PNE Group. Examples include:

  • Community Development Finance Association Board member
  • GirlguidingUK Trustee, Board member, Development Committee Chair, Brownie Leader, and Trainer
  • Princes Trust Loans and Grants panel chairman
  • Princes Trust volunteer mentor
  • School cricket fixture organiser
  • School governor (2)
  • Team Wearside Trustee
  • Treasurer for Moving On (homeless charity)

Payroll Giving

A number of staff donate monthly to the PNE Group Charity Fund.  Contributors meet twice a year, and aim to support good causes which have a personal connection to one of our employees.  Beneficiaries have included: Children's Safety Education Foundation, Crisis Skylight Newcastle, Hartlepool Women's Refuge (Harbour), Nightingale Hospice, North Tyneside Cardiac Support Group, Building for Guiding, Streetlights, and Claremont Road Dog and Cat Shelter.
