Cyber Essentials Certified
PNE Group is certified by Cyber Essentials, which provides an independent assessment of the essential security controls that organisations need to have in place to mitigate risks from cyber threats.
What is Cyber Essentials?
Cyber Essentials is a scheme delivered by the National Cyber Security Centre, part of GCHQ. The scheme is backed by the Government, supported by industry, and recognises the achievement of government-endorsed standards of cyber security. The processes required to achieve Cyber Essentials certification help guard against common cyber threats and demonstrate a commitment to cyber security.
The scheme’s five security controls include:
- Secure configuration
- Boundary firewalls and Internet Gateways
- User access control
- Patch management
- Malware protection
Why Cyber Essentials is important to our clients?
Cyber Essentials demonstrates to our clients our commitment to maintaining cyber security practices to a high standard and that nationally recognised best practice is followed in all aspects of our digital activities. From finance to data management, you’ll have peace of mind you’re in safe hands.
In order to achieve annual certification, PNE Group is required to pass an external vulnerability scan of our Internet-facing networks and applications to verify that there are no known vulnerabilities present, which means we common cyber security threats have been tested against our systems and failed to break through.
“At PNE we take digital risk very seriously and embed the most up-to-date cyber security practices across all our activities. The Cyber Essentials assessment demonstrates that our clients benefit from sound technical security controls and our commitment to maintain a strong defence against cyber threats in a changing digital landscape.”
Gary Nagel, Head of Digital at PNE Group
