Announcement of the Departure of the Chief Executive

The Chief Executive of PNE Group has announced her departure from the role. Dawn Cranswick, who has held the post since 2011, will be moving on in July to fulfil a new overseas governmental role.

Tracey Moore, Executive Director at the Group, will be undertaking the Chief Executive responsibilities pending a substantive appointment, ensuring a smooth transition.

Tim Smith, Chairman of the PNE Group Board, said, “The PNE Group non-executive team are confident in the adaptability of Group staff during this period of change. Dawn’s departure represents a milestone for the organisation, however, looking to the future the change provides an opportunity to bring in new expertise and develop existing staff that will further the Group in its mission to support businesses and communities.”

After 25 years with the Group, seven as Chief Executive, Dawn has steered the organisation to the position of strength it finds itself in today and she leaves with our best wishes and thanks. Her tenure included overseeing gains in profits and efficiency, and the launch of several ground-breaking enterprise projects, including the new Sustainable Start-up Awards – one of the first of their kind. Her role also saw her make an international impact, working across the world with clients, including the Department for International Development (DFID) and the European Commission.

Dawn comments, “It has been my privilege to lead PNE for the past seven years, and I’m immensely proud of everything that the staff team has achieved in that time. PNE’s combination of expertise in enterprise coupled with the guidance of a strong and strategic board, gives me confidence that the Group will continue to make an impact and prosper for many years to come.
