PNE Group are excited to announce they have been named on the shortlist for the Corporate Engagement Awards, alongside the Royal Bank of Scotland Group, for delivering the RBS Skills and Opportunities Fund. Nominated in the ‘Best Execution’ category, PNE Group, RBS, NatWest, and Ulster Bank will together face competition for the accolade from two other entrants.

Commenting on the Fund’s achievements, Thom Kenrick, Head of Community Programmes at RBS said, “We are very proud of the success of the Skills & Opportunities Fund. PNE Group have been an essential partner in the delivery of the Fund, which has distributed £2.5 million to 114 organisations across the UK and Ireland in under 12 months.  For this type of fund, success is best defined by impact – so it is great to know that these grants are funding projects to help people in disadvantaged communities build their skills, get into work, or start a business.”

Responding to the announcement, Dawn Cranswick, Chief Executive of PNE Group, said, “News of the nomination has been a great source of pride to the team working on the RBS Skills and Opportunities Fund, and is a testament to the hard work they put in to its delivery. We are very grateful to RBS for including us in this nomination, and for their continued support of communities through social investment programmes like the Skills and Opportunities Fund.”

The awards, which are announced on the 21st June at The Brewery in London, are intended to recognise CSR and corporate sponsorship programmes. Other categories include ‘Best Collaborative Approach’, ‘Most Innovative Sponsorship activity’, and ‘Most Effective Long-term Programme’, and will be judged by an expert panel drawn from a diverse range of industries in the private and public sectors.
