PNE Group named Enterprise Team of the Year
PNE Group has won a prestigious accolade from the enterprise sector’s leading membership body.
PNE Group were named Enterprise Team of the Year at the National Enterprise Network’s Annual Awards, which took place Friday 16th November at One Churchill Place, London.
The Enterprise Team of the Year Award is given to a team that has achieved something exemplary, above and beyond the norm. It recognises the impact of PNE Group’s enterprise delivery, and in particular the launch of the Sustainable Start-up Award, a discretionary grant rewarding businesses that positively demonstrate their commitment to supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Award presenter, actor Nico Pandolfi, commented, “The impact of the programme so far is truly impressive. PR coverage has included both regional and national press, while several supported start-ups are already demonstrating clear environmental impacts through their businesses.
“The judges felt that the PNE enterprise team is making a real difference to the North East landscape through this unique initiative, whilst additionally delivering both social and environmental impact.”
The National Enterprise Network (NEN) is the national membership body for organisations, including enterprise agencies, Chambers of Commerce, local authorities and other specialist providers.
Established in 2007, the awards recognise excellence in the delivery of enterprise support, encouraging the exchange of good practice and the development of improved services and organisations. This year’s categories were: Enterprise Support Organisation of the Year, Enterprise Engagement Award, Unsung Hero of the Year Award and Enterprise Team of the Year Award. Outgoing NEN Chairman, Graham Marley also presented an additional Chairman’s Award, in recognition of the exceptional work of one of its members.
