North of Tyne CLLD: PNE Business Hub
In 2019, the PNE Enterprise team received funding from the North of Tyne CLLD, which PNE are match funding, to deliver a business support programme for individuals who are over 50 or living with a disability.
About the programme
On behalf of the North of Tyne CLLD, PNE Enterprise is delivering the ‘PNE Business Hub’, which will close a gap in support provision in the area by offering access to business support, training, coaching and networking services to businesses who have been trading for less than 12 months, specifically targeting individuals who are over 50 or living with a disability. The project is part funded by European Regional Development Fund as part of 2014 to 2020 European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme.
What we do
In our delivery of the programme, we provide:
- Outreach sessions: Delivering workshops covering the practical aspects of starting and running a small business in the North of Tyne area.
- Mentoring: One-to-one mentoring is being provided to already established businesses, helping them to meet 6 to 12-month objectives to increase the sustainability and survivability of the business.
- Online support: For people who are unable to travel to access services or find it difficult to participate in face-to-face activities, the PNE Enterprise team use Skype and social media to provide one-to-one support.
