PNE Enterprise Deliver the New Young Person’s and Disadvantaged Employability Support Programme
With funding from the Reece Foundation, PNE Enterprise delivered the New Young Person’s and Disadvantaged Employability Support programme, equipping young and disadvantaged individuals with enterprise skills. Running from April 2014 until June 2017, the programme supported hundreds of aspiring entrepreneurs and start-ups to overcome diverse challenges. In total, PNE Enterprise delivered 270 online support appointments, 68 courses and 986 one-to-one sessions. 1223 young or disadvantaged individuals were trained throughout the programme.
PNE Enterprise Launch Get Growing
In 2016, PNE Enterprise launched Get Growing, making dedicated growth support available to 20 North East businesses. Providing support of up to £2,000 per business, businesses on the programme receive a personal business advisor, access to workshops and masterclasses by leading business professionals, 24 months access to online business support, opportunities for networking, access to finance for business activities supporting growth, and discounted workspace.
PNE Group Win National Enterprise Network’s Enterprise Support Organisation of the Year (>£750,000)
Presenting the award, Dawn Whitely MBE, Chief Executive of the National Enterprise Network, commented: “For 35 years, PNE Group have delivered enterprise support to the North East region and beyond, continuing to adapt, reinvent and create opportunities to add value to the world.” The National Enterprise Network is a unique membership body representing the enterprise support sector across England.

Europe’s only accolade benchmarking excellence in collaboration with corporate social responsibility and philanthropy, the Bronze Award marked the Group’s involvement in the delivery of the RBS Group’s Skills and Opportunities Fund.
