University of Sunderland: Enterprise Challenge

University of Sunderland: Enterprise Challenge

In July 2018, PNE Enterprise delivered a two-day enterprise challenge on behalf of The Enterprise Place, University of Sunderland’s business hatchery.

“You always do a great job. I have enjoyed attending and expanding my business acumen. I will use this experience to consider my business venture. Facilitators were great.”

Aleasser Alzein, Enterprise Challenge participant and University of Sunderland student

About the Enterprise Challenge

The two-day enterprise ‘boot camp’ was created to inspire, generate ideas and to feed the pipeline of applicants interested in developing a business start-up within the The Enterprise Place. Delivered for 40 students and graduates of University of Sunderland, the challenge provided “pre start-up” inspiration, information on entrepreneurship, helped attendees explore their own start-up ideas and supported them to develop their entrepreneurial and intrapreneurial skill-sets.

What we did

In their delivery of the Enterprise Challenge, the PNE team provided the following:

  • Developed tailored workshop content for the target audience and objectives of The Enterprise Place, including an ideas generation session, aspiration building activities and a mini start-up competition
  • Delivered the workshop, including providing an experienced session leader, additional team members to give support to participants and all materials
  • Collected qualitative and quantitative feedback, which was provided to University of Sunderland, demonstrating the impact for class participants
